Our Eastern Galapagos Yacht Itinerary starts with a tour of South Plaza Island, lined by turquoise waters and inhabited by many iguanas, bird species, and numerous sea lion colonies. The next day will see us visiting the islands of Santa Fe and San Cristobal; the former provides fascinating moments with unique landscapes and species, while the latter showcases giant tortoises and laidback island life.
After that, we’ll explore more remote regions of San Cristobal Island, which offer fun aquatic activities, stunning vistas, and tons of wildlife. Rounding out this Galapagos itinerary is spectacular Española Island, home to the giant bird in the archipelago and epic coastlines!
This Galapagos itinerary has been designed to guarantee the best wildlife-viewing opportunities at several of the most gorgeous landscapes in the archipelago.
Baltra Airport
This adventure begins with your flight to Baltra Island, followed by a transfer to the nearby dock to board Yacht La Pinta. You will be invited to lunch after an introductory briefing on board and an emergency drill.
South Plaza Island
Along the coastline, we will walk by sea lion colonies while seabirds play along the cliffs of this small but spectacular island. Crawling around this entire scene are the yellow-greyish land iguanas.
Santa Fe Island
We take the dinghy over to this white-sand beach. The yellow Santa Fe land iguana, exclusive to this island, might also be spotted. Following the walk, you’ll choose swimming, snorkeling, or riding aboard our glass-bottom boat.
Cerro Colorado & Tortoise Breeding Center
After lunch, we will disembark at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Once at Cerro Colorado, we will visit the Breeding Center for giant tortoises.
Punta Pitt
This morning, we land at the eastern tip of San Cristobal Island. The trail that ascends from the beach provides spectacular views of the shoreline, allowing the chance to observe frigatebirds and sea lions.
Cerro Brujo
After lunch, a dinghy ride along the shores will take us to Cerro Brujo. This is a great site for walking and spotting plenty of seabirds and shorebirds. Galapagos sea lions will also be present.
Punta Suarez
The morning outing at Punta Suárez provides a walk to visit the unique seabird colonies that live here. Waved albatrosses, boobies, and the famous “blowhole” geological formation await! Afterward, we will head back onboard for lunch.
Gardner Bay
In the afternoon, we will disembark for a short walk to observe the sea lions, mockingbirds, and finches. You can opt to kayak or ride aboard our glass-bottom boat.
Charles Darwin Research Station /Baltra Airport
After disembarking at the Puerto Ayora docks, we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and get a chance to visit the breeding program for giant tortoises. Afterward, we will take a bus that will take us to the opposite coast. Once there, a short ferry ride will take us across the channel to Baltra Island and the airport.
A total of 20 spacious and spotless cabins (all of which have their private bathroom) offer room for up to 40 guests. A wide variety of cabin options are available, and nearly all of them are arrayed around the outer-facing corridors of the Yacht.

Enjoy the mesmerizing terrain of this tiny little island that you’ll loop the entirety of in one go. Along the way, you’ll get to enjoy the carpets of scarlet succulents covering the land, which a multitude of land iguanas can often be seen eating. As we circle the coastline, you’ll see colonies of sea lions and many marine birds flying overhead.

Disembark and venture across the towering cacti (which you can touch and even hug thanks to their very soft thorns) and enigmatic scenery that adorns this unique island. Not only that, but the island is the only home to an endemic species of land iguana. Aquatic activities are offered on this island that put you in touch with the native sea life, such as sea lions and fish.
Visited on days two and three.
Revel in the stunning vistas available at remote Cerro Brujo and Punta Pitt, located on the island’s far side. Numerous aquatic activities are available here. Later in the day, you’ll also briefly enjoy the laidback island life in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno before visiting a giant-tortoise breeding center.

Explore the fascinating variety of bird colonies present on this island. The large waved albatross (present between April-December) is one of the biggest attractions here. Geological phenomena and epic coastlines await to take your breath away, and all topped off with a visit to one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago, where exciting aquatic activities are offered.
