Day by Day

Day 1

  • Quito, Ecuador

Arrival in Ecuador’s Andean Capital 

Arrive in Quito and settle into your luxury hotel at Casa Gangotena. Enjoy a welcome dinner and your first evening in Ecuador’s historic capital. 

Day 2

  • Quito City Tour

Discover Historic Quito 

Explore the highlights of Quito on a half-day city tour. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure before another night at your luxury hotel. 

Day 3

  • Mashpi Reserve

Into the Cloud Forest 

After breakfast, leave Quito behind and journey to nearby Mashpi Lodge, nestled deep within Ecuador’s cloud and rainforest. After lunch, begin exploring the reserve with a guided afternoon excursion before heading out again after dark to discover the forest’s nocturnal world. 

Day 4

  • Mashpi Reserve

A Day Among the Clouds 

Wake to the sounds of the forest and spend a full day exploring one of Ecuador’s most biodiverse ecosystems. Guided activities throughout the day reveal the wildlife, landscapes, and hidden corners of the reserve, followed by another evening adventure after sunset. 

Day 5

  • Mashpi Reserve & Quito

One Last Look at the Forest 

Enjoy a final morning activity at Mashpi Lodge before returning to Quito. Back in the capital, unwind with dinner and a final night at Casa Gangotena. 

Day 6

  • Baltra & Santa Cruz Islands

From the Andes Mountains to the Galapagos! 

Fly from Quito to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival, transfer to Finch Bay Hotel on Santa Cruz Island, stopping in the island’s highlands for lunch and an introduction to the island’s unique landscapes. 

Day 7

  • Santa Cruz Island & Day Tour

The Archipelago Comes Alive

Board the Sea Lion for a full-day island expedition, lunch on board. Marine iguanas, sea lions, and seabirds appear at close range. Dinner and a final night at Finch Bay close the day.

Day 8

  • Divine Bay

Paddling Through Paradise

Explore Divine Bay by kayak, gliding through Santa Cruz’s most striking coastal stretch. The afternoon is yours — beach, tide pools, or simply the calm of Finch Bay’s beachfront, with lunch and dinner included.

Day 9

  • Santa Cruz Island & Day Tour

Into the Wild Once More

A second full-day Sea Lion expedition returns you to the archipelago’s open waters. Each island landing brings new encounters from the Galapagos Big 15 — and makes the journey harder to leave behind.

Day 10

Carry the Islands With You

Final breakfast at Finch Bay. A shared transfer crosses Santa Cruz to Seymour Airport for your flight back to Quito and then back home. The Galapagos doesn’t leave you when you leave it.
