Itinerary

Day by Day

Day 1

Arrival in Ecuador’s Andean Capital 

Arrive in Quito and settle into your luxury hotel at Casa Gangotena. Enjoy a welcome dinner and your first evening in Ecuador’s historic capital. 

Day 2

Discover Historic Quito 

Explore the highlights of Quito on a half-day city tour. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure before another night at your luxury hotel. 

Day 3

Into the Cloud Forest 

After breakfast, leave Quito behind and journey to nearby Mashpi Lodge, nestled deep within Ecuador’s cloud and rainforest. After lunch, begin exploring the reserve with a guided afternoon excursion before heading out again after dark to discover the forest’s nocturnal world. 

Day 4

A Day Among the Clouds 

Wake to the sounds of the forest and spend a full day exploring one of Ecuador’s most biodiverse ecosystems. Guided activities throughout the day reveal the wildlife, landscapes, and hidden corners of the reserve, followed by another evening adventure after sunset. 

Day 5

One Last Look at the Forest 

Enjoy a final morning activity at Mashpi Lodge before returning to Quito. Back in the capital, unwind with dinner and a final night at Casa Gangotena. 

Day 6

From the Andes Mountains to the Galapagos! 

Fly from Quito to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival, transfer to Finch Bay Hotel on Santa Cruz Island, stopping in the island’s highlands for lunch and an introduction to the island’s unique landscapes. 

Days 7 to 10

Two full-day yacht excursions aboard Metropolitan Touring’s Sea Lion visit neighboring islands in the archipelago, with opportunities to encounter several of the species on the Galapagos Big 15 list.

After a final night at Finch Bay Hotel, transfer to Seymour Airport on the last morning for the flight back to Quito.
