Located at the southern extreme of the Andes Range at only 27 km. from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, Cerro Castor is a mountain to be discovered inch by inch. Due to its location, it concentrates the best quality snow in the country and one of the longest ski seasons in South America.
It features 600 skiable hectares, 23 trails with different difficulty levels, apart from off-piste, almost 20 km. of snow for the excitement of all those seeking strong emotions.

Trails & snowpark
Cerro Castor has 25 snowmass trails and a snowpark with a total of 30 km of trails. Many of the trails are harmonized by the International Ski Federation (ISF). It has a one-of-a-kind snow quality throughout the season. This is due to many reasons: the mountain faces south, which is the best orientation for this hemisphere; besides, it is located in southern parallel 54º and, therefore, it has low and even temperatures during the whole winter.
Artificial snow
They have an artificial snow system throughout the 480 m vertical drop, with 120 snowguns (Technoalpine) placed every 200 meters. This ensures the correct snowmass down to the bottom during the entire season.
Lift facilities
Lift facilities are strategically located and fitted with world class technology. They were conceived and located for an optimum use of the entire mountain, broadening the snowmass and enabling to carry up to 9,500 people per hour.
The resort has 4 lift facilities with 4 people seat ski lifts and 5 platter lifts: 3 Teleskis and 2 Magic Carpets.
