"The most magical festival of the world" it's been called. It's certainly one of the great spectacles of classical music not to miss in South America. With a style and history all of its own, the festival excels in performances by a stellar cast of musicians from around the world.
The festival's central theme this year is the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Over 100 international musicians will gather to pay homage to the great composer at eight of the city's stages during 32 concerts, ten of which will be free.
The concert will also showcase highly-regarded Colombian musicians, including the singer-songwriter Marta Gómez, Guafa Trío and Ensamble Óctopus.
The Festival runs from 7 to 16 January 2011
