Aqua Expeditions announced their plans to launch the second Aqua Expeditions cruise ship on the Peruvian Amazon, the M/V Aria, in April 2011. The M/V Aria features 16 specially designed cabins with floor to ceiling picture windows, a fully air-conditioned top deck with Observation Lounge, an exercise room, outdoor Jacuzzi with Sun Deck, as well as the Aqua Expeditions' signature restaurant with award-winning Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. It will also ihave an Amazon Wildlife reference library and an air-conditioned multimedia room.
The itineraries will be different from those of its sister ship, the M/V Aqua, but will also explore remote areas of the Amazon River. The 24-crew M/V Aria includes four world-class naturalist guides.
Aqua Expeditions is entirely unique to the Peruvian Amazon. Trips cater to discriminating, adventurous travelers and explore the most remote and pristine areas of the Pacaya-Samiria Reserve in the upper Amazon River and its tributaries. M/V Aqua, the flagship vessel, is 140-feet long with 12 spacious and luxurious guest suites. All of the suites are 230 to 240 square feet with large outward-facing picture windows and en-suite sitting areas.
