Sollipulli
The Sollipulli is a beautiful volcano less impressive than their neighbors, Llaima, Villarrica, but potentially dangerous because of its explosive history. His last known eruption dates back approximately 1,200 years ago. It contains a glacier of approximately 2 km2 which covers almost all the summit.
Mapu Lahual
The Mapu Lahual territory has a vast area of temperate rainforest rich in biodiversity. The wide variety of native species found in this area stems in part from its history as glacier retreat. The Cordillera de la Costa in these regions was not reached by the last major glaciations occurred about 12,000 years ago, which, however, did affect the Andes and Central Valley.
