Peruvian Geography
Peru is located in the west central part of South America. It encompasses an area of 498,222 square miles (1‘285, 215 km2) and can be compared in size to Spain, France and Portugal. In South America, only Brazil and Argentina are larger. Peru is the 19th largest country in the world.
Transportation
The diverse geography of Peru is such that most travel between different regions and cities needs to be by air. Nevertheless, for pleasure and to enjoy the scenery, in some cases trips can be made by land, train or boat.
What Peru has to offer
Because of its geographic position and its tropical location, the presence of the Andes and both the Humboldt and El Niño currents, Peru is the earth’s most ecologically diverse country.
Cultural Aspect
Festivals in Peru are deeply rooted in the people’s lore, and are the product of the fusion of European and native cultures and religions.
Fundación Galápagos has been chosen by Coca Cola to participate in the campaign “Every bottle has a story” for its commitment to making a positive difference to the Islands
