The important message on Earth Day was shared with all our clients and guests. The center focus in 2009 continues to be climate change and how global warming can affect the Earth as a whole, and naturally our industry. Think about sea levels changing and damaging present coastal ecosystems, or ice melting and eliminating habitat for polar species, or our own backyards. Individual actions can have a positive impact not only at the local level, but can generate reaction in our relatives, friends, neighbors, etc. Celebrate Earth Day every day. Our ships celebrated Earth Day in many ways, with presentations, lectures, messages, and more, but on the M/V Santa Cruz they took Earth Day to a gastronomic level and baked a cake with great decorations all related to this celebration. We are confident everyone liked it. Good job! Our next celebration will be World Environment Day, which will be on June 5th.
